| ABSTRACT In the 12th century, two religious buildings with a single nave and apse were built according to traditional local techniques at Faicchio, an area that was occupied as early as the Samnite-Roman period. A number of fresco fragments are preserved in these buildings. In the same area we encounter ceramics dated to the 11 th-14th century, mostly glazed ware and `protomaiolica' that were manufactured in Campania. |
