"Produzione e circolazione della ceramica nella Campania settentrionale (X-XIV secolo). I dati dal territorio di Alife (CE)"

Last excavations have singled out all ceramic types circulating in the territory of Alife and S. Angelo d’Alife (CE), in Northern Campania, between X and XIV century. Checking materials of the late XI century and the XII century, we are able to point out a green glazed bowl champlevé with undulating arabesque designs from fathimid area (photo) and glazed sicilian pottery. The glazed polychrome pottery, the protomaiolica and the local productions of XIII and XIV century are comparable with materials from Naples, Puglia and Molise.
